The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano is organizing a conference on venture capital which will be held in Milan on May 28 and 29.

The conference is the conclusive event of the "Venture Fun" project which is part of the PRIME Network of Excellence promoted by the 6th Framework Program; the title of the conference is "Venture capital and European high-tech startups: a new rationale for policy-making?".

The objective of the event is to analyze the relationship between venture capital (in its various forms, including capital provided by business angels) and the creation and performance of high-tech startups, and to study which policies can help in fostering the development of this important sector of the economy.
