Following the agreement between the Ministry of Education of the Democratic Republic of East Timor and GesEntrepreneur, regarding curriculum development and teacher training in entrepreneurship, is with pride that I tell you that from today, approximately 9000 East Timor students and their teachers will have available 10th, 11th and 12th grade textbooks and teacher guides that will support the Curriculum for the Entrepreneurship classes.

The curriculum development for the entrepreneurship classes are adapted to the Timorese reality and according to Deputy Minister of Education for the 10th, 11th and 12th grade, Virgil Sinith, aim to contribute – through the implementation on the Education System of Timor, the methodologies that will help spread the entrepreneurial spirit – so that young Timorese after reaching the end of their school career can face the job market with an entrepreneurial attitude that will enable them to win, either on their own or working on someone else’s business.

By completing another stage of the agreement with the East Timor Ministry of Education by delivering the aforementioned student textbooks and Teacher Guides, we are more motivated to continue the collaboration on the creation of a real education policy that will allow in the medium-term, the building of an entrepreneurial culture in East Timor.
